A splash of swank. A twist of twang. A jigger of jazz. An intoxicating blend we call “Swanky Southern Nights.” This special live version of their popular broadcast features co-host, music and media darlin’ “Little Miss Sunshine” Brenda Lynn Allen and co-host, songwriter-recording artist and state designated “The Tennessee Troubadour” Makky Kaylor.
Brenda Lynn Allen is a Columbia, Tennessee native who caught the musical bug early when introduced to a wide range of music while growing up. She learned how to carefully weave her love for traditional country with modern musical elements to capture the attention of music enthusiasts. She is a singer, songwriter, entertainer and media host who has been performing on stage for most of her life. She has been featured in Billboard and other international publications such as Making Music Magazine. She continues to host a weekly syndicated broadcast of her show in addition to co-hosting “Swanky Southern Nights” with Makky Kaylor.
From Memphis to Music Row to Muletown… Songwriter/Singer/Entertainer Makky Kaylor was named “The Tennessee Troubadour” by the state of Tennessee in 2023. Makky’s original song “Tennessee, In My Dreams” is also being carried forward in legislation to be an official TN State Song. Often called “The Mayor of The Muletown Sound” by media, Makky also has his own “Makky Kaylor’s Swanky South Day” in Maury County. Makky’s “They Saw A King” (co-written with Larry Gatlin) was a featured video in over 300 million homes during December 2022 and featured Christmas night on the Grand Ole Opry by Teea Goans.
