One of the most widely-known and respected touring musicians in bluegrass and gospel music today, Larry Sparks began his career in the mid-1960s as guitarist with the Stanley Brothers.
He later became lead vocalist for Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys, then went on to form his own band, The Lonesome Ramblers, in 1969. He will be celebrating 50 years in 2019 with Larry Sparks & The Lonesome Ramblers.
His soulful vocals and expressive style have enraptured audiences around the world, and he keeps his music real. Constantly going back to the roots of bluegrass, he has been named International Bluegrass Music Association’s Male Vocalist of the Year and has performed on such world-famous venues as the Grand Ole Opry, Austin City Limits television show, and toured globally.
