A splash of swank. A twist of twang. A jigger of jazz. An intoxicating blend we call “Swanky Southern Nights.” This special live version of their popular broadcast features co-host, music and media darlin’ “Little Miss Sunshine” Brenda Lynn Allen and co-host, songwriter-recording artist and state designated “The Tennessee Troubadour” Makky Kaylor.

Brenda Lynn Allen is a Columbia, Tennessee native who caught the musical bug early when introduced to a wide range of music while growing up. She learned how to carefully weave her love for traditional country with modern musical elements to capture the attention of music enthusiasts. She is a singer, songwriter, entertainer and media host who has been performing on stage for most of her life.

Brenda Lynn has opened for artists such as Leona Williams, Sylvia, Buddy Jewell, Doug Stone, David Frizzell, Grand Ole Opry member Rhonda Vincent, and most recently, the Bellamy Brothers. She has made multiple appearances on Nashville’s WSM’s legendary Ernest Tubb Midnight Jamboree and is also featured regularly on radio shows throughout MIddle Tennessee.

As a performer, Brenda Lynn has made appearances on local Nashville TV shows and RFD-TV’s “The Penny Gilley Show.”

She has been featured in Billboard and other international publications such as Making Music Magazine.

Brenda Lynn Allen expanded her musical career in 2020 when she started hosting Around The Bend With Brenda Lynn. She continues to host a weekly syndicated broadcast of her show in addition to co-hosting “Swanky Southern Nights” with Makky Kaylor.

From Memphis to Music Row to Muletown… Songwriter/Singer/Entertainer Makky Kaylor was named “The Tennessee Troubadour” by the state of Tennessee in 2023. Past work has included years as an A-list session singer and successful songwriter on Music Row.
